yeah underrated HA! thats why they sold tons of records of American Idiot, and have tons of mindless trendoid fans, who just jumped on the bandwagon when American Idiot came out. Thats why every time you turn on the radio their song is playing, and why boulevard of broken dreams is on a loop on mtv. They won like best rock group or album or whatever at the grammys. Billy Joe Armstrong has turned into a fuc*kin douche bag who wears 5 lbs of eye make up.. Totally UNDERRATED

I comlpetely agree with the fact that bands are jumping on the Bush bandwagon, but I do have to say that they are really protesting it and giving Canada the and america the !
I am from Canada so I have got my own political ideas, and I agree with Green Day's point of veiw....they are the exception.

I didn't mean the stupid awards and MTV bull**** that your t.v soaked generation has grown to appreciate....
I like Billie Joe's new look.
When I said underrated, I was reffering more to Mike's bass playing skills and Tre's drumming, grow up a bit and know that music is not about the masses or the awards...

How exactly was Soundgardner supposed to know that you were talking about? All you said was that they are very underrrated, which they are not, in any manner, AT ALL. They are overexposed, as evident with the fact half the threads in the punk forum are about them.
BTW, it's sad how you resort to insults and name-calling whenever someone points out something wrong that you said. It should be pointed out that most of your insults could have easily have been said about you, yet no one here has done that.
Green Day underrated...hahaha. This just gets better everyday!

not insulting, get a sense of humor, or even, don't be so sensitive...

there you go again with your insults. I was defending that soundgardener dude, nothing you said was personal enough for me to take sensitively. You really are an idiot. You can never back up anything you say, so you just spew pathetic insults and name-calling. Why can't you just admit you know nothing at all about punk music?

Green Day have never created a groundbreaking or innovative record, they have never pushed the boundaries even of mainstream popular music, they certainly haven't created anything that moves anyone over the age of 14 to pick up a guitar and actually SAY something. Apart from New Found Glory. Wow. Sterling effort there.

You are correct with one assertion, I am rather fond of the word derivative, it's a nice sounding word, as is phillistine which you so eloquently used to describe myself. I don't intend to justify that remark in any way, you seem well educated enough to realise the limited effect that a personal insult will have on a messageboard, although that might be a gross error on my part. To say that Green Day make you "jig with reckless abandon" makes me laugh. Out loud. Especially following your phillistine comments.

Oh, and by the way, how can I actually respond to "your questions" when you don't even use the correct punctuation in your post to show that you are actually asking a question? Dad.
I do apologise for my failure to punctuate my questions correctly - textbook error. But it's not as if you couldn't tell they were questions now, was it. Other than my complete disregard for punctuation, a heinous crime to be punished by Celine Dion, i have to say now that i'm gonna have to disagree with you again and allow my earlier posts to do the smoting for me, with repects to music and how i feel about it. No hard feelings and all that, i just disagree with the majority of your viewpoints on this subject, since many of them are extremely broad generalisations. Well, at least you laughed i suppose. I will check those bands out though, if they do sound anything like Green Day, cheers. See you around , son.
