I'm trying to find more bands like these that actually have a meaning, nothing about cars and girls and new commercialized stuff. Any ideas are welcome. Thanks

The Roots, Common, Nas, Mos Def would be good starting points. My advice would be to use Rate Your Music, allmusic.com or last.fm, and search for Conscious Hip-Hop.

I realize what I'm about to say has nothing to do with the actual OP but I wasn't aware that you had this kind of HipHop under your belt and I need you to let me know how much of this you have and how much ass I have to kiss to get it.

Definitely check out Digable planets like previously stated, Reachin' is a good start.
Some of Cypress Hill's stuff is kind of similar to De La Soul.
