It was another great final. I feel consistently spoiled by tennis. It ebbed and flowed throughout but I definitely thought, mid-way through the third set, that it had slipped away from Murray. Can't fault him for being able to dig in and come back again.

Am I the only one who thinks it's time that we rise up and put a stop to corporations splattering their names on every sports event/venue on Earth? I feel like the cultures of the world are being reduced to sanitized marketing schemes.

Every tennis tournament seems to be named after and heavily sponsored by a corporation or a bank or something. It's annoying. The Masters 1000 tourney here is called the Rogers Cup, they are the biggest communications company in Canada. They ****ed over my cell phone contract and forced me to switch to another provider. And if I manage to ever buy a ticket to one of those matches, I'll just be giving them more money.

Near where I live we have a concert venue called the Verizon Wireless Virginia Beach Amphitheater. Why on Earth would I wanna go to some place called the Verizon Wireless Virginia Beach Amphitheater? There is no possible way to come up with a shittier name for something than to awkwardly plaster some boring company's name on it. Give us real names with real character or I'm gonna start making napalm in my bath tub.

I kinda dislike all the branding that goes on with tennis tournaments. At the end of the day it's the sponsors that supply the money for the tourneys to go on, so I think it's good for tennis and bad for humanity haha.

Edited cause Indian Wells does have a sponsored name, lol

I prefer the sounds the women make when they hit the ball.

That's terrible. I like to hear the effort they are putting into their performance. It is inspiring. Get your mind out of the gutter, you sicko.

Tennis is fun to play both as a real life sport and as a video game.
