Custom BC Richs kick ass, low end ones well pretty much suck. So i would say jackson.

Jim Root actually uses a custom Fender Tele and a Charvel...can't remember the model name

jim root uses a tele right now. but back in the days of iowa he used a jackson custom soloist. so i guess the correct thing to say would be jim root used a jackson. also in a filmclip for heretic anthem on conan o brien he used a PRS.
