The only time I've really been sick in years was when my entire family got Swine Flu. I was the last one to get sick, but I also tried to avoid them completely for a while.
And I don't eat meat, drink semi-regularly, smoke, and all of that. So, it really depends on the person. I'm not going to generalize really and say that either way is healthier. It'd be impossible to really say, as everyone is different.
It's just a personal preference, really.
