All of this applies to me as well. I'm only starting to get into nu metal as well and I don't like Slipknot either. It could be because their fanbase is a bunch of tards. Nu Metal isn't entirely dead yet though, Five Finger Death Punch has sort of a nu metalish sound, plus I have a few friends who are really into the genre as a whole. Hell I know more people that would rather listen to Limp Bizkit as opposed to say Fall Out Boy or MCR. Yet again, it could be because my city's still stuck in 90s land for the most part. =P
