Well I went from the first couple posts to these last few. Heres my 2 cents to the first page. To me Nirvana was kinda the man vs. the music. Obviously Kurt won that one, his legend is 10 times more famous than his music and it really does anger me once and a while. His drug use and his evident suicide(for those of you who believe he is either alive or was murdered) would be what sells Nirvana their records after his death. As for Nirvana as a whole(while Kurt was alive) there fanbase ran with the mainstream fanbase. So someone could be listening to No Doubt then Nirvana would come on and they'd be pleased with both. Then theres those who actually liked Nirvana and other bands such as Sonic Youth, Dinosaur Jr. etc. happily they would probably listen to all of Nirvana's records. But for those Z100 listeners(NYC's Pop Station(Die)-_-) back then they were probably young as hell and both the records but only liked some songs for a week then they'd go off and listen to the Notorious B.I.G. Whats Funny is that some things never change except music is ****tier now.

As for my views on the band, I love them they're my favorite band and will always be my favorite. The first time I heard Nirvana I was about 4 months and I still remember hearing Milk It at that age like it was yesterday(Yes I'm 16). As for Kurt's legend I could care less, I mean it's a little sad that he passed at such a young age leaving us wondering how his music would've sounded had he stayed but I honestly wouldn't have it any other way. All these guys on youtube would probably disagree, of course but hey they listen for the man not the music. Now for what he's done to his wife and daughter, Courtney was always messed up so who cares and if he were still alive then Francis shouldn't be with either of em so Kurt and Courtney both should've died just like Sid and Nancy(for the sake of the child).

So now I say R.I.P. Nirvana and R.I.P. Kurt Cobain and thank you Nirvana for making such wonderful music.
