In my opinion, it doesn't matter what genre she is into, just that it is not that top 40 nonsense. That in itself proves that she doesn't have to be told what to like, but that she can find joy in the music that truly pleases her. She doesn't have to like the same type of music as me, just so long as it is not strictly main stream!
