To answer the question at hand, I'm inspired to write and create artwork primarily by exposing myself to artwork, writing, and music that I thoroughly enjoy. That's fairly obvious and probably applies to most, but I am also deeply inspired (not just in terms of art, but in my attitude and lifestyle) by travel and culture.
