Seeing this thread I just remembered the band Blind Mr. Jones. I posted about their album Stereo Musicale (1992) in Albums You're Digging thread, I think. The album really captured me because it's kinda different from typical shoegaze. Beside solid guitar sound they also have a flute. It's refreshing how they use it and how it dives into that dense guitar noise and comes out on top of it. I also read that they were called Jethro Tull of shoegazing because of it.
