But this isn't the first time they've done an album with 100% clean vocals, I mean just listen to Damnation (2003), it's got clean vocals and like... no distortion at all, it's a progressive rock album. In fact Opeth have slowly been leaning towards this sound for the last 8 years, I mean the last really heavy album by them was Deliverance (2002), Ghost Reveries (2006) and Watershed (2008) had their heavy moments but nothing compared to their material from 1995-2002.
