I mean the original Alice Cooper band that were together from the late 60s to the mid 1970s.Forget the sad old parody of a man thats around now , forget Schools Out although it is a good song. The stuff this band recorded in the early 70s never gets the credit it derseves. Albums like Love It To Death , Killer & Billion Dollar Babies should be mandatory for anyone who likes rock or punk.It was raw , it was totally different to anything else around at the time , it was just one big **** you to the hippy generation.
Without Alice Cooper punk wouldn`t have happened. You can quote the Velvet Underground , The Stooges & Iggy at me all day long.It wasn`t any of those bands that Johnny sang at his Pistols audition. It wasn`t those bands that Dave Vainan nicked his whole stage gimmick off.

So yes , use this thread to give the Cooper band some love. And if you are coming here to say you loved the song 'Poison' you can just leave now.
The only problem with this is that Alice Cooper is a rock god, Poison is one of the best songs in existance.
