Indeed. But I do like normal Black Metal as well, it's just hard to find good stuff. I like quite a few of the "must haves" from the 90s, as well as some current stuff from bands who have been around for awhile, like Tsjuder or Mayhem. 1349 is one of the only new bands that I enjoy (and even they formed in 1997). And for the record, they just came out with a new album.
I think one of the big things about it for me is the atmosphere. Those first black metal albums that came out just can't be beat. That being said, I do enjoy all of the stuff that's going on now. Just not those albums/artists who try to recreate what it was in the 90s. Amesoeurs, The Secret, Liturgy, and all those bands who continue to push the envelope are fantastic. They're doing something new, like the original bands in the 90s.
