I agree. I tend to be a little more lenient towards religion than most. I understand how much it means to people, so I don't want to intrusive and degrade something that means so much to someone. I like to let people believe what they want to believe and not force my opinions on others. Although religious people tend to be the worst about forcing their ideas on others. I just don't want lower myself to their level.
But if there's one thing I would recommend to religious people it would be: Be a little more open-minded and reasonable. You don't have to completely reject science in order to remain religious.
