It was a long time ago when my dad would play various old school rock bands in the car. The first band I ever got into, was Styx. After that, I went through a classic rock phase, which progressed to a modern hip-hop phase, which progressed into a heavy metal phase.
Eventually I just said **** it and started listening to everything. I attribute my interest in music to my Dad who has just as a variety in musical taste as I do.
He also had a guitar that I eventually learned how to play.
