Drudkh -
Eternal Turn of the Wheel (2012)
I knew if I was patient enough 2012 would deliver a metal album that's actually more than just "mediocre" or "good". I've liked Drudkh since their 2007 album
Estrangement and while their last few albums have moved more towards an atmospheric black metal sound along the lines of Wolves at the Throne Room or Woods of Desolation, but the fact that they're not trying to be Agalloch is usually enough for me. The vocals aren't as raw on this one, however they still have the same aggression one would expect. It definitely cheered me up after the disappointing new Busdriver album.
