I'm more referring to his image and stage presence than his voice...I agree he doesn't really sound similar.
I've listened to Kick and wasn't impressed...if you think Listen Like Thieves might convert me, I'd be more than happy to give it a listen.

What You Need
Everything else I've heard just seems like droning cookie cutter pop.

Ok, I'm enjoying Never Tear Us Apart and Don't Change...so maybe 4 good songs.
