I think science these days are mostly adding details to what we know, not drastically changing theories. We've added lots of knowledge to the theory of evolution, but in principle, it's still pretty much like it was when it was formulated by Charles Darwin in his Origin of the Species. He saw that characteristics were able to inherit from parents to offspring, but didn't know why. He saw evolution had taken place, but didn't know the mechanisms behind it. Today we do.
I think the same goes for most scientific theories. For example I don't think anyone's suddenly going to disprove the atom. I don't think someone's going to prove that 2+2=5.
We got the right ideas and then we take a step further. That's progression, not contradiction.
As for those videos, asking people to watch hours-long videos which contain the points you want to make in a discussion on a forum is just plain lazy.

People are sceptical towards religion because there's never been any proof that any deity exists as anything but an idea. Observational evidence tells us that praying to God for help is not going to make your AIDS go away. It's not going to save you from starvation. If God really existed, then it would have been real easy for him to prove his existence. According to the bible, he's done so many times in the past. Why not now?
