I'm surprised to see this get such a low rating from someone, especially on MB. It's one of my favorite movies. Unique, funny, beautifully shot, full of great performances, has an amazing soundtrack, and as you demonstrated above with one of my favorites, incredibly quotable.
I don't really know about it's cult status. I didn't get the feel that it was really a comedy. I got the feel that they were trying to do something with it but failed. I guess I just interpreted it wrong. My rating stays the same, but I guess I understand why people like it so much.

Stanley Kubrick's first film. I can see why he hated it so much. It was horrible. YET, it was fun to watch knowing that an absolute genius was behind the camera. I'm actually not going to rate this one because there is no reason too. It is and will alsways be horrible but it's such an essential and rare look into the early stage of Kubrick.
