Hell, even as a sludge metal album I would think the pick would be quick. Dax's vocals are soooo good and the riffs are excellent. I guess it depends on if you are more into the heavy/slow guitar of the Melvins (the drumming is also a little better on Bullhead, although that could be because it stands out against the slowness around it). To me, Acid Bath is closer to a Mastodon, while Melvins sound closer to Electric Wizard. I think that if Bullhead was stripped of some repetitiveness and seemingly unnecessary empty pieces and condensed it could make an amazing 8-10 min song. Otherwise I found my mind frequently wandering
I re-listened to Bullhead just for this battle and found my mind constantly wandering throughout the album. The sound was there but the songs weren't and that is the main problem with the album.
