Well I'm a gamer, and I'd argue it's a sport (if done competitively) and can safely say that's not true. Probably not a good idea to paint us all with the same brush.

What about darts, bowling, fishing, or hunting?
Also, the fact that it requires physical movement by definition makes it a physical activity, as opposed to mental.
