Great Debate: Are eSports sports?

I find it laughable this is actually still being debated.

I played GTA for about 8hrs a day when I was young. I'm such a retired athlete.

No wonder, you seriously expect people not to make sarcastic comments in a thread about wither gaming is a sport. Get a grip mate.

As a sports coach I hardly even consider Darts and Snooker as a sport. Now kindly see some sense.

If you find the debate laughabe, I don't see why you continue to come back to it. I'm not getting at you personally, but there's a lot of BSing from people in the thread and it's getting old.

From now on I'm going to assume that this contemptuous attitude is a substitute for logic, and that they are admitting that eSports technically is a sport, whether they like it or not.

It's interesting to note that Darts & Snooker were only considered pub games and had no real professional set up until television realised that both were cheap to produce & would gain massive audiences when screened.

That's the only reason they're considered a sport now.
