The Something Rain (2012)
Definitely a headphones album, but an album I feel like I will be revisiting many times this year. The opening song "Chocolate" feels a lot like the Velvet Underground song "The Gift" in that it's a spoken word story told over repetitive music. Other than that it's a very nice little art rock album that has a sense of... sophistication to it. That description is really for lack of a better word, but it's just something you need to hear to really get. Definitely recommended.
