Brilliant, but I don't think I've been this shocked and disturbed by a film in a long time. The film deals with some very difficult subject matter such as child sexual abuse and male prostitution and can be very uncomfortable to watch at times. Some scenes are downright disturbing. However Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Brady Corbet both give excellent performances and the soundtrack is top-notch, featuring the likes of Slowdive, Cocteau Twins, Curve and Sigur Ros.
