Bands like Weezer, Jimmy Eat World and Greenday get a lot of flack for lowering the standard of their work as they age, but the way I see it, it's impossible to channel the teenage angst and emotion that each portrayed on their earlier records when they were misguided, emotionally unbalanced youngsters.
Now that they are rich 30 somethings, how can they possibly relate to doomed romances , the man holding them down and first love?

Yeah, but that's why you grow up. Weezer... didn't. Pork and Beans was evidence of that.
