Vanilla, when you say you can't afford to have a cat, you're surely not talking monetarily, are you? Cats are quite cheap to keep (other than vet fees of course) and mostly they're happy to stay indoors if there's no one to let them out, so unlike dogs you could have one even while working. I just wonder what the obstacle is there? A trip down to the local pound to rescue some cute little cat might be just what you need.
On a cute level, this has to be smashing the meter up! He did this himself by the way, just climbed in as it was cosy and warm. That's one of our other two cats there in the corner, Molly, watching him. She's his sister.
and THIS is Eddie! Don't hate him because he's beautiful. If being handsome was a crime they'd have to throw away the key!
