I dunno... the mainstream media usually has a tendency to slant towards a bias with stuff like this, in my experience. Big3 can correct me if I'm wrong.
As far as the polls being close, I wouldn't think it's out of the realm of possibility that it's as close as it's being reported. Once the exit polls start showing some numbers, it's really up in the air at this point, though.
