I don't think so, either. I think President Obama will win the electoral college handily.

  • Pell grants for education (I don't think those exist anymore, right?)

I could go on and on... I don't get why some Americans are so afraid of socialism and hope that it ceases to exist. If you're using any of the above services, you're supporting socialism (hopping on the bus or mailing letters and parcels is socialist!!!!!). The only way to avoid it is to live completely off the grid, no mail, pay no taxes, don't ever go to school, don't go to parks or beaches... basically live as a shut-in. Oh, and don't vote - campaigns and everything that goes into an election is funded by your tax dollars.
Some Americans are so dumb and ignorant that they are willing to buy many lies like Obama was born in Kenya or worse that Obama is a muslim.

Obama is quite clearly not a Kenyan seeing as his birth certificate is readily available for anyone who bothers looking, but even if he was a Muslim, why should that be a problem? I may not personally agree with Islam but if you want to deny him the right to an office that he was voted into purely on religious grounds then you have gone against everything the USA should stand for.

Right. Freedom of religion encompasses ALL religions, not just Christianity. I think that this is something that the Christian right wing fails to understand.

I dunno... the mainstream media usually has a tendency to slant towards a bias with stuff like this, in my experience. Big3 can correct me if I'm wrong.

As far as the polls being close, I wouldn't think it's out of the realm of possibility that it's as close as it's being reported. Once the exit polls start showing some numbers, it's really up in the air at this point, though.
