Pretty sure this'll be my release of the year. OM strays further away from doom and into eastern-tinged psychedelic rock, with great success. The (relatively) new drummer breathes life into the band and works well with Al's evolving style. It's a near-flawless album, my only complaint being the uninspired thrice-repeated sample used at the beginning of "Sinai".

Highlight: "Haqq al-Yaqin"... an epic of a closer which harkens back to the hypnotic drumming OM is known for, throwing in tabla drums and other awesome instruments for one ball-shriveling trip

Finally listened to this yesterday and loved it. My Om favourites are Conference and Variations, which are both incredible trips, and this could be right up there with them. I went looking to buy it yesterday actually but they had sold out.
