I just listened to
Mala In Cuba, the latest album from the dubstep producer Mala, made by actually traveling to Cuba to record and sample various Cuban musicians, and then turning it into a decidedly non-Cuban music. It is an utterly fantastic record. Imagine Latin jazz with pulsating low end and scattery Electronic beats, horns and congas backed by earth-rattling bass. I've only had one listen, but my first impressions are very, very strong.
