The Algorithm - Polymorphic Code.
Absolutely stunning. Imagine The Mars Volta met a geeky computer programmer who introduced them to a Dubstep producer who passed them on to a Dance music producer who just happened to like Flying Lotus and he then decided to throw all this into an all knowing computer programme and spit the whole lot out for us all to enjoy only for Meshuggah to remix it all.

Despite all this it is surprisingly easy on the ear yet smart enough to explore and reveal more layers. Brilliant.

Foals do a mixtape of some of their fave tunes and this moves from minimal Techno to AfroJazz to Indie and House music with consummate ease. A fantastic mix and it has introduced me to a whole raft of artists.

Bought:

One of the finest 3rd wave Ska albums out there and still stands up well after 20 years. Had to buy this on import but worth every damn penny. Such a great track:

Criminally overlooked UK band. Sort of Muse meets Porcupine Tree but they don't sound like any of those bands. Big riffs with big atmosphere.

No explanation needed.

Bought lots more but can't be bothered to list them!
