If shoegaze is the chilled out mellow stuff like Beach House then yes I like that. But My Bloody Valentine was kinda heavy for me (same with that Comadre album) and I've seen that described as shoegaze too.
I'm pretty clueless to be honest and will listen to most stuff I'm still trying to find out what I like, the only genre I'm knowledgeable in is Hip-Hop. I joined this forum to find new music.

Well if you're getting into hip hop you'll definitely want to check out
Flowers For My Father by Sadistik. Very talent young rapper from Seattle with some absolutely beautiful production on this album. You might get something out of the new Joy Formidable album,
Wolf's Law, which has elements of what you heard on My Bloody Valentine, but is a little more decipherable.
