Yoakam is the king of Rockabilly no doubt, his bass player has a very unique style. His upbeat bass runs are played in reverse compared to more conventional way other country/southern rock bassist play. And his lead guitarist are always outstanding musicians as well.

Ive noticed on one of his live albums that his band tunes down. Dont know if it was because he was having a bad night with his voice or what? The whole album is killer though, regardless of being under a standard 440. Sorry, I dont remember the title of the album at the moment.

If I stand correct, I am sure that Buck Owens played a major role in the early stages of Yoakams career.
