Default Dwight Yoakam

I feel confident in saying that he is my favorite country music writer our there. I also usually mention him when talking about who I think the most underrated writers out there are. He's playing a show here in a couple weeks and I couldn't be more excited.

Oh Wow ! I'm jealous, you get to see Yoakam.

He is the best Actor out of all of the other country singers in my opinion, he was outstanding in SlingBlade as Doyle. Maybe Willie Nelson coming in at 2nd (as far as the movie industry is concerned) with Red Headed Stranger.

I like most of his music.

Reba!? Dat bitch can't act. Besides, shes an actress anyway.

Yoakam is the king of Rockabilly no doubt, his bass player has a very unique style. His upbeat bass runs are played in reverse compared to more conventional way other country/southern rock bassist play. And his lead guitarist are always outstanding musicians as well.

Ive noticed on one of his live albums that his band tunes down. Dont know if it was because he was having a bad night with his voice or what? The whole album is killer though, regardless of being under a standard 440. Sorry, I dont remember the title of the album at the moment.

If I stand correct, I am sure that Buck Owens played a major role in the early stages of Yoakams career.

Take care Bane of your existence, talk with ya later.
