Those are both great examples, but ironically, my first thought when I saw that you posted in the thread was, "duh, Phish!" They do have some excellent harmonies. Some of my favorites are The Squirming Coil, Divided Sky, and Silent in the Morning.

Keeping in the same vein, the Grateful Dead had some stellar harmonies, especially this little acapella chestnut here:
