either way, the killing wasn't motivated by religious conflict. the media just chose to hone in on the Islam element which was what annoyed me.
If the killer was homosexual, no doubt there'd have been media outlets blaming his sexuality for mutilating his victim with a machete.
But Islam and Muslims seem to be the go-to scapegoats for everything in our society so the government/media must have been licking their chops at this one.
