People keep telling me I'm smart and or intelligent, which frankly is starting to wear on me. First, it's insulting to people with above average intelligence. Second, it's a total cocktease meant to give me some bullshit confidence boost. There's nothing more I hate than people who call me "smart", it makes me want to put my hand through a wall sometimes. I can't trust anyone's opinion about me anymore, and I feel like I'm starting to fade away mentally, slowly losing grip of my self perception. I often feel like I don't exist, and I often forget I actually have a body and a face until I see myself in the mirror. Is it possible to exist and not exist? To exist physically within space, but not mentally?
