That's not surprising really, when a band leaves its roots to go onto become one of the biggest bands in the world, the knives normally come out from dedicated fans for that type of music claiming they were not that great anyway.

Personally I think Metallica were one of the very best thrash bands and I wouldn't even call myself much of a Metallica fan either.
