Exactly. Time has also had Stalin, Nixon and Ayatollah Khomeini on their cover as Person of the Year as well. It's not the Awesome Guy of the the Year, it's a reflection of people they feel were very significant during that time, in one way or another. And as you say, it's a news magazine, of course it's going to have political figures on its cover. Rolling Stone is a music magazine. I think they were just trying to court controversy with this to sell more issues.
