and no i don't really have numbers to back this claim up, Im just going by human nature, celibacy is not for everyone, when you repress sexual feelings they comeback tenfold. they have to be released in some discrete way if you are taught to be ashamed of them.
And given the circumstances where a priest has easy access to children but not women it makes pedophilia a discrete alternative to let out those repressed sexual urges.
Im not saying their doctrines are breeding pedos but i think they see it as a loophole.
This is just my personal opinion though.

Well when you're condemning an entire religion for producing pedophiles, whatever the reason, you can't just go by assumptions and conjecture. As an atheist I'd love nothing more than to find another reason to flip the Catholic Church the bird, but I can't justify slagging them off for this particular reason without actual evidence.
