You seem to want a shortcut for greatness
If you want to learn how to convey your emotions better through a song just look at the music artists that move you through their songs, they serve as your mentors HOWEVER it's like Psychedub told you, you gotta do you and find your own way of expressing yourself like they did.
And im srry, Trying to make music that everybody likes is a recipe for mediocre ppl pleasing mainstream garbage, Not everybody will get your message or care, you can only hope you convey it well enough that some ppl will get it, and if it strikes a nerve and everybody relates to it, GREAT, but it has to start from your own personal views that don't need mass approval. only then does it feel genuine.
