I wound up being fired from my last job due to personal reasons beyond my control, and I specifically asked my boss if I could still use her as a reference. She agreed and I've been on multiple interviews that seem to go well, yet I've received no offers. They were slow in getting my W2 to me as well, so when I picked it up I asked her if people were calling about me. She said yes and that she's spoken well about me each time. So I go on an interview that seems to go great, I get calls from some of my other references saying they'd been contacted and all spoke highly of me. I'm feeling confident until the woman I interviewed with calls me to ask me questions about why my last boss called me "sweet but emotionally unstable". On one hand, now I know why I've yet to find work but on the other hand I'm pretty upset. Now I have to regroup and figure out what to do to rectify the situation.
