From someone who knows absolute feck all about harmonic scales, a B flat or 7/8 time all I can say is that is sincerity in a musicians music( or a lack of) is something I can spot from a mile off.
It either moves you or it doesn't regardless of the musical dexterity.
I should add 'Intrigue you' too.
