My common gripe with many modern games is their emphasis on delivering strong narrative, story and graphics above good gameplay, so much so I get the feeling some developers would be better off making movies instead of videogames. Personally, the enjoyment I get from a game comes from actually playing it, not from watching a pretty cutscene, or hearing some excellent voice acting - that sh*t's dull.
