There were no other NBA teams that had any real chance of a title, it's been true for 3 1/2 decades. It's why the NBA is my least favorite of the four major team sports.

Yeah, an overhaul is in order. The contrast in quality between the east/west is horrible.
What do you mean true for 3 1/2 decades? You used to see the occasional team make it, 76'ers, OKC recently, detroit pistons etc. It really only seems dire the last couple years IMO
