It's not weird at all. I don't know if you get the History Channel on your side of the pond, but it's, you know, about history, and every other show is about Hitler or Nazis or WWII or the Holocaust, and it's not because the audience is just so intent on learning from the mistakes of the past. It's because Nazis are morbidly fascinating to the point where it's an economically sound practice for a TV channel to cater so much to this fascination.
It's actually a good thing when you think about it. Staring at pictures of Holocaust survivors may not have any other worth all by itself, but from an evolutionary stand point it may very well be essential to have this kind of obsession with the morbid. If you're a deer and you don't pay attention to the deer carcass lying a few feet from you you may not realize that it died from eating poisonous plants, or wolves, or a hunter, or whatever. But if deer-Briks just can't help but stare then he may learn something valuable that might increase his odds of survival.
And the best way to get somebody to do something is to make it pleasurable. I mean, is there really any good reason to make sex feel good other than to entice people/animals to do it? So don't feel guilty about listening to Burzum. I don't listen to any band just for that kind of cheap thrill, but if I dig a band and they've got some kind of weird, creepy thing going on then it certainly adds a bit of spice.

This song has renewed my interest in Anthrax considerably. Great stuff.

Love that album. The thrash style is as developed as on
Among the Living, but Joey Belladonna's vocals would never be that soaring again, since he reigned it in to go with the more straight-up thrash Anthrax sound after this album. He's just full-on Bruce Dickinson on here and I don't know if there's a metal album I like singing out loud to.
