It is a terrible burden for you to bear on your own and it is understandable that you found your mother's problems hard to deal with. Do you have siblings? My eldest brother is schizophrenic and the whole family is there for him. He leads a pretty normal life now as long as he doesn't get stressed and takes his medication.
