50. The Auteurs - New Wave (1993)

A certified 10/10 for me. Every track is great in it's own right, and it flows magnificently. The lyrics are playful, cutting and generally engaging. I love the instrumentation and production of the record. Cool bass lines, jangly guitars, slick drumming/percussion and nice keyboard/piano licks. 'Bailed Out' may be in my Top 10 songs of all time. Damn, just listen to it if you haven't. Definitely one of the best Pop albums ever.
