51. This Heat - This Heat (1979)

I'm a huge fan of their more accessible album Deceit, but this is my favourite This Heat album. There are a lot of elements going on in this album from industrial to musique concrete to post-punk to drums n bass to the straight avant-garde. This trio of multi-instrumentalists is incredibly ahead of its time and few bands match the level of genius exhibited in This Heat's music so maybe that time isn't even here yet. Their harmonies are great, the instrumental element is unique to This Heat. You need to listen to this album.
