I think that makes a pretty clear statement of their desire to troll the music industry, music fans, and the world in general, rather than JUST be pretentious and arty. On a related note I gotta say though, no matter how pretentious they might be, arty folk can still make statements that your more straightforward artists are often incapable of. "Slug Bait"'s lyrics and music are far more terrifying then anything Cannibal Corpse or Mayhem or even Macabre could ever hope to put out. Also, as legitimately creepy as "Hamburger Lady" is, "Slug Bait" definitely wins. How you can come up with that and not be just a little bit serial killery I can only speculate.
